Welcome to Manor Rc Model Car Club

​

Now in its 6th  year we have quickly become one of the premier clubs in the midlands area with constant investment and total dedication from the committee.  We pride ourselves on our achievements to date.

​

• We race every Sunday from 2pm -6pm (Doors open 13.45ish)

​

• We cater  for 1/10th scale battery operated cars, buggies ,trucks & rally cars

• (basically any  car that will go over the jumps)   

​

• Any age & ability welcome (we run a dedicated rookie class for the younger driver and the beginner)

​

We are a friendly, family bunch and encourage a racing family atmosphere.  If you're not sure about racing then come along, chat, watch and have a go!

Race fees are  £5.50 per session for members and £7.50 for non members (payable via paypal)

​

• Non members are welcome to borrow a club hand out transponder if required.  If you require a club hand out you must use an extension wire (available from the club £1.00 each)

​

• Yearly Membership is available  2020 costs £25.00 per Adult  £20.00 per Junior (under 16) 

​

• To become a member you must have a current BRCA licence and own your own transponder 

We Are Back

Racing has started again with new measures in place we get the official  green light from the BRCA as they join us for our  Welcome back meeting .  A great and Safe afternoon was had by all who attended

2020 Club Membership

2020 club membership forms are now available to download and print off  please return completed forms along with the appropriate fees to race control during our normal club meetings  membership runs from 1st February 2020 to 31st January 2021 for the 3rd year running we are pleased to announce there has been no increase to our yearly membership

Outdoor Success

Shirebrook Town show was held on the 23rd June  Manor Rc took the opportunity to host our 1st outdoor meeting on the all weather Astro football pitch   with heat practice followed by several rounds of qualifying and 2 leg finals a great day was had by all .  Please keep an eye out on our facebook page for our next outdoor meeting   

Town Carnival OUTDOOR Meeting 23rd June

As part of the Shirebrook Town Carnival we will be hosting a 1 off outdoor meeting on the Astro football pitch 

we will add jumps and obstacles to make this a true off road track  and as a one off all race class entries will be just 99p  we will also supply awards for the top drivers .  To pre book for this event go to the events booking page .

TYRE RULES   Schumacher cactus , darts & cut staggers Proline Prism & wedge    The use of mini pins are not allowed other tyres and brands may be used on request  please check with race control prior to using the track any driver not sticking to the tyre rules maybe asked to remove there car from the track until tyres are changed

Manor RC Buys New EOS Carpet

Manor has now purchased 8 rolls of the latest indoor racing surface E.O.S carpet  each roll is 2m wide x 30m long  this will give us a surface area of just under 500 square meters . We have also constructed a new drivers 

rostrum allowing a better elevated view of the track

 New track markers have also been purchased we will now be running 4" white pvc down pipes which will give better lane control for our younger drivers and define a clearer track layout 

New Nog's

More new pre set bends are in the making this along with some new markers will allow for a more flowing track we hope to have them all completed in the next couple of weeks

Bye Bye Old and Hello New

While you enjoy the Christmas break team manor will be working hard moving the club from our old venue to our new permanent home at shirebrook (full details on contact page)  also to boot there will be new ramps and 

obstacles ready for you to enjoy in the new year as long as santa turns up !

1st Meeting at Shirebrook

Sunday the 7th of January 2018  saw the first meeting take place in our new home Shirebrook Leisure Centre and what an afternoon it was with over 50 entries this was a club record for a normal weekly meeting  . Six  full heats and 3 round of racing followed by a round of finals for all entrants  The afternoon was so popular we have now added online booking to our site  so if you intend to travel and race you are advised to take advantage of this new facility.

Continued Investment

As part of our continuous mission to make Manor RC one of the premier indoor clubs in the area we have now invested in a new rostrum this quick setup rostrum now allows a full heat of drivers to see the track clearly without having to rub shoulders .

Winter Series 2018/19

Winter series round 1 was held on 28th October with a great turn out 2WD class full and only 2 spots left in 4WD . With only 4 out of 6 round to qualify there's still time to enter (go to our events page) Will you be crowned "lord of the Manor"
